Mazike Valley Lodge, the former Kyambura Game Lodge, perched up on the walls of Queen Elizabeth National Park (Q.E.N.P), the opulent cottages of the lodge offers breathtaking views of the vast Q.E.N.P, the Maramagambo Forest and the Kazinga Channel on the horizons.
The Kyambura Gorge, verdant, rich tropical forest next to the Equator crossing. The gorge is home to an amazing array of wildlife and birdlife. Home to a variety of primates that include chimps, red tailed, white and black Colubus, vervet monkeys and baboons.
The cottages are spacious with King or Twin beds, elegant dug in bathtubs, showers, flash toilets, vanities and wash basins with hot water throughout the day.

Mazike Valley Lodge is situated in Kyambura Gorge, also known as the “Valley of Apes” and apes in Luganda is Mazike, hence our authentic name that resonates well with our location and attraction. Mazike Valley Lodge sits on the Eastern side of Q.E.N.P and on the South Western part of the country about 370 KMS from the capital city Kampala. The gorge offers the most stunning views that one cannot find anywhere in Uganda.
The lodge is 370KMS from the capital city Kampala and can be accessed both by air and road. Drive time is 6hrs from Kampala or Entebbe and 45 minutes by air from Entebbe. Our closest airstrip is Kasese which is only 20 minutes away from the lodge, we are also able to pick guests from other adjacent airstrips that include Mweya and Kihihi. The location of the lodge is key to us as it connects the lodge to other key areas.
